"Walking In The Air." (The original version from "The Snowman" with Peter Auty)

イギリスの作家レイモンド・ブリッグズが1978年に
発表した絵本「スノーマン」。
ストーリーはよく知らない人でも、この温かな彼の表情、
いでたちを知らない人はいないでしょう。


1982年にアニメ化され、イギリスではクリスマスイブに放送されたんだそうですが、この劇中、少年とスノーマンが手を取り合い空へと飛び立つ印象的なシーンで使われているのが唄ピーター・オーティ、演奏シンフォニア・オブ・ロンドンによる「Walking In The Air」です。


ここ東京ではこの話のように一面が雪に覆われることなどないものだけど、私はいい年したすっかり大人であるが、世界のどこかではこの話のように名もなき子どもが雪の妖精（まぁ森でも何でもいいんだが）と大空を飛んだりしているのではないか･･･と信じているふしがあったり（笑）
